Watering plants has been full time work in this very hot and dry spring.  Irrigation is vital and I am grateful for the water I have but I wish it would fall from the sky on occasion (in moderation).  Over the last seven years I have continually asked for a half inch of rain on Saturday night and a half inch on Wednesday night.  Maybe this will be the week…

Things are growing in the new high tunnel and soon transplants will go outside.  Lots of seeds will be sown tomorrow and throughout the next few weeks.  The spring CSA will start early May I imagine but some greens will be ready before then so stay tuned.  There are shares available for all three seasons still so send inquiries and deposits my way.  Thank you to all the folks who sent payments in already, they are greatly appreciated.  I plan to have a CSA open house for prospective members and all those interested in seeing what goes on here, dates to follow.  Enjoy the sounds, smells and sunshine that spring offers and get ready for all the tastes as well.  Until then…
