Early Greens

This spring has been quite challenging for a variety of reasons but I am not gonna delve into that… Plants are amazingly resilient and I am learning how to be mostly from them and from the amazing people in my life.  The high tunnel is really starting to grow and this tatsoi is probably my favorite plant in there.  These along with bok choi will be available at the High Falls Food Co-Op next week.  There aren’t quite enough items for a CSA distribution yet but the date for that is Wednesday April 25.  There are still a few shares left for the spring and plenty for summer and fall.  Don’t miss your chance to be the envy of all your friends by having local greens earlier than them.  You could share but you may not want to.  Expect these Asian greens, kale, chard, lettuce and hopefully some other surprises.  More vegetables to come in the following weeks so stay tuned and let’s hope that it rains at some point this season so that the plants and I can be strong without so much resiliency.                                                                                                                              Any questions contact Jacob Diaz  slowrootsfarm@gmail.com 845-339-2731
